THE MOST AMAZING MAIZE MAZE IN DORSET

AT THE TOY BARN IN SHERBORNE…

The Giant Maize Maze at The Toy Barn in Sherborne, Dorset, is open throughout summer from 24thJuly to the 3rd September.

With a new design for 2021 inspired by Fairy Tales, you’ll need to choose your path wisely or face re-tracing your steps… There will be an anagram to solve along the way and a Guess Who Game. Find Rapunzel’s Tower, a climbing frame and a viewing platform all dotted around the Maze. You also need to watch out for the DRAGON!

The maze is open Mondays to Saturdays from 10am to 5pm (last entrance to the maze will be 3.30pm) and Sundays from 10am to 4pm (last entrance to the maze will be 2.30pm).

Tickets cost £8.00 per person and discounts are available for younger children and larger groups.

Please call 01935 815040 or E-mail info@toy-barn.co.uk if you would like to book for a group of 10 people or more. We also offer Orchard Parties and Maze Parties, please call or email for more information.

Please Note: As a working farm there are often tractors and lorries coming through the car park; please watch your children and be safe. The main farm is always off limits to the general public.

Please check our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages before planning your visit to confirm opening days/times. Some walkways in the maze are narrow therefore wheelchairs and pushchairs are not recommended due to the uneven and soft ground. It is advisable to wear stout footwear. If it is wet conditions wellingtons are advised. Dogs are welcome and must be kept on a lead at all times and we ask that you clean up after your dog.

MAZE RULES

Although Covid restrictions will have been lifted, we would still recommend that you keep your distance to other groups, sanitise your hands whenever possible and wear a face covering when in enclosed spaces.

CARPARK: There is a tap and sink in the car park next to the portable loo for washing hands.

THE SHOP: There is disinfectant hand gel as you enter the shop. We would recommend wearing a face covering when in the shop. If you have the NHS Test and Trace app, please scan the QR code. If the shop does get busy, we will ask your group to wait outside for a few moments so that we do not have too many people in the shop at any one time.

THE CAFE: We will be opening a pop up café this summer. We will be serving hot drinks, refreshments, sandwiches, snacks and cakes.

THE PLAY AREA: We ask that everyone uses hand sanitiser or washes their hands before they use the equipment in the play area. We also have a team of people regularly cleaning the equipment.  There is a loo and hand washing facilities in the play area. Some picnic tables and chairs will be available to use.

TRAMPOLINES: There are only 2 trampolines available. They are not possible to clean so please wash your hands before and after use.

CLIMBING FRAMES: We will sanitise the plastic accessories on the timber climbing frames at least twice a day but we recommend that you wash your hands before and after use.

THE BARN: The Barn will be open and there will be access to some more seating seating.

THE MAIZE MAZE: You may find it difficult to solve the maze and in the process you may meet other groups. As a courtesy, please respect peoples distances as much as possible.

WHAT TO DO: someone will need to back up to a path and make way for the other group to pass or there are lots of alternative routes to take, so try one of those and avoid one and another as best as you can.

Our Maze staff will give you an activity sheet when you enter the maze and a maze map will be available to purchase for £1.00 (in cash) at the entrance.
