THE MOST AMAZING MAIZE MAZE IN DORSET

AT BLACKMARSH FARM IN SHERBORNE IS BACK…

The Giant Maize Maze at Blackmarsh Farm in Sherborne, Dorset, is open throughout summer from 23rdJuly to the 4th September.

With a new design for 2022 in the shape of a tractor, you’ll need to choose your path wisely or face re-tracing your steps… There will be an anagram to solve along the way and a Guess What game all about vintage farming equipment. Find the Bug Motel, a Climbing Frame and a Lookout Platform all dotted around the Maze!

The Maze is open from Monday-Saturday 10am-5pm (last entrance to the Maze will be 3.30pm) and Sundays 10am-4pm (last entrance to the Maze will be 2.30pm).

Tickets cost £8.00 per person and discounts are available for younger children and larger groups.

BLACKMARSH FARM SHOP, CAFÉ AND MAZE INFORMATION

CAR PARK: Please Note: As a working farm there are often tractors and lorries coming through the car park; please watch your children and be safe. The main farm is always off limits to the general public.

THE SHOP: The Blackmarsh Farm Shop is open from 10am-5pm from Monday-Saturday and 10am-4pm on Sundays. It has a great selection of toys and gifts for a range of all ages. We also have a selection of fresh, natural produce grown straight from our kitchen garden. Toilets are also available instore. Please Note: If the Shop does get busy, we will ask your group to wait outside for a few moments so that we do not have too many people in the shop at any one time.

THE NEW CAFÉ: The all-new Blackmarsh Farm Café is now open from 10am-4pm from Monday-Saturday and 10am-3pm on Sundays, with indoor and outdoor seating available. Enjoy a cup of tea, coffee (with soy and oat milk alternatives available) or cold drink whilst the children are playing and having fun in our exciting Play Area (see more information below). We sell fresh sandwiches, quiches, pasta pots and a generous selection of homemade delicious cakes. Please Note: we kindly ask that no picnics are brought to the site.

THE PLAY AREA: The Blackmarsh Farm Play Area is open from 10am-5pm from Monday-Saturday and 10am-4pm on Sundays. It is an exciting place for children of all ages to have fun! We have a selection of climbing frames, swings, slides and playhouses all on-site. We have exhilarating pedal-powered go-karts with a track where you can race your friends! Smaller Didicars (for the track), as well as sandpits, are also available for the younger children. Some seating and tables are around the Play Area to sit down with a cup of coffee from the Café, as well as a chicken coop in the corner. All this is complimentary with a Maize Maze ticket (see more information below). Please Note: all children must be kept under adult supervision at all times. This is an unsupervised Play Area.

THE BARN: The Barn will be open with additional seating available and acts as a good cover/shade if it gets too hot or starts to rain. There are some garden games and other fun activities inside, such as Jenga, all accessible to customers.

THE MAIZE MAZE: Once you arrive at Blackmarsh Farm, our Maze staff will give you an activity sheet and a Maze map will be available to purchase for and additional £1.00 instore. The Play Area is also included under your Maze ticket and you are welcome to use it until the Shop closes at 5pm (see more information above). Once you are ready to enter, one of our Maze runners will lead you to the maze and will explain everything to you before you go in.

Please Note: Some walkways in the maze are narrow therefore wheelchairs and pushchairs are not recommended due to the uneven and soft ground. Please keep to the paths that are available and it can be unsafe . It is advisable to wear stout footwear. If it is wet conditions wellingtons are advised. We recommend bringing adequate hydration and sun protection as temperatures can be high. Dogs are welcome and must be kept on a lead at all times and we ask that you clean up after your dog.
